Pistol Pete is the athletics mascot of the University of Wyoming. He is depicted as a student dressed as a cowboy, appearing at games and events alongside Cowboy Joe, the school's live pony mascot. Pistol Pete's appearance and existence are shared, through a legal agreement, by other universities, including Oklahoma State University and New Mexico State University.
